Some people seem to always have a drama going on.  They go from one crisis to another and do not seem happy unless they are dealing with problems. Other people have realized that they could be right or they could be happy.  These folks make the choice not to let the little things bother them.  They have learned that being happy and not caring around ego and negative emotion allows them to stay in a positive and grateful mindset.  This is where living with love and peace becomes a way of life.  This image was created by Douglas Hoffman

Are you stuck in  relationship or job thats join nowhere?  Why do you stay?  Is it because the evil you know is better than the evil you don’t? Or is it that your afraid of rejection or that you won’t find something better?  Sometimes a low self esteem is what blocks us.  Somehow we feel that were no worthy of a better relationship or job. Other times it’s that you’ve been in it for so long you are comfortable even though not 100% content.  Whatever the reason, what is holding you back is you.  You need to change that in order to succeed & thrive.

Yes, this seems easier said than done.  However once you make a decision and are committed to it, change can be empowering and make you feel good.   After all your taking action to improve your situation.  Where energy flows, results often show.  So embrace the changes that you know need to be made to enable you to live the life you desire.  The process takes time and energy but it does work and you can create the life of your dreams. Some the things you will go through will not be fun. However they will pass and in the end you remain.

Sometimes life circumstance creates stress, pressure, and self doubt.  When this happens take a self inventory.   Write down all that is good in your life.  All that you are grateful for and what qualities you have that you like.  Then write down all that is wrong.  Then compare the list.  Once done you will likely find out there is more good than bad.  You will also see the areas you need to concentrate on.  This will help you get moving forward.

Have a great day everyone!Image

Someone once said that the only thing that is consistent is that things change.   For some reason people resist change.  Nevertheless change comes. It occurs in the work place, in relationships, in life, and in your heart.  The longer were alive the more lessons we learn, and that is a good thing.   If I only knew then what I knew now…..  Remember what you resist tends to persist.

If changing your thinking, feeling, goals, e.t.c.., will improve your life  – embrace the change and accept the challenges that lie ahead.  You will be happier.

Wishing you all love and Peace.

The ebb and flow of tide

What you believe in your heart affects how you act and feel about yourself.  If you have faith in yourself and believe that you can achieve your goals your conscious and subconscious mind will respond. You will take action and work towards getting what you envision. That does not mean you won’t have set backs, and challenges you will, but you will overcome them and ultimately achieve what you set out to do.   This  applies to relationships just as much as it does for you career.  Keep the faith!

2013 was the most challenging year of my life. It was also a very good year in that I learned a lot about myself. As 2013, is about to end, I want to say how grateful I am for all the support I have received from friends and family.  This year I learned about forgiveness, acceptance, awareness, and how important it is to live each day and not dwell on the past or fear the future.   I live in the present, plan for the future, and forgive the past.

I begin 2014 as a divorced father of two, and look forward to working with my ex in order to raise our girls with love. I am so fortunate that we ended our marriage in a fair and friendly manner, which will serve us both well as we move forward in our lives.  I wish every success in her career and happiness in her life.

I plan to continue writing this blog with the desire to be of service to other people and to share my insight, stories, and thoughts about life, love, and living in peace.

Happy new year everyone!

Tiny bubbles

Moisture from the night’s rain collected on the leaf of the flower. I noticed it as I was letting the dog out to do his business.  The water drops sticking to the leaf in such a random pattern captured my attention and I thought each drop of water was unique and special.  Some are big and others small, but what they have in common is that they exist for the moment, but soon will disappear.

Then it struck me that, people too are all unique and special.  Some are big and small are small.  What we have in common is that we exist here in the now.  The past and future do not matter.  All that is important is this moment.

Have a great day!

The water in this river flows from point A to B.  Along the way it passes through calm periods, and rapids.  Life is the same way.  We have periods where everything seems to go smooth, then other times when problems are ever-present  This is the nature of life.

On the river there are places called holes.  This where a small body of water stops flowing and stays in one place.  There are often currents that spin the water round and round called eddies.   Other times the current stops and the water just stands and stagnates.  This is another good metaphor that explains life.  Sometimes we get stuck in a rut and we seem to go nowhere. Only by changing our state of mind, how we feel, and how we interact with others can we get unstuck, and move forward on our journey.

Just like the river has rocks and obstacles, so do we.  We have speed bumps, work and relationship issues, financial worries, health issues, and community problems that rise up from out of nowhere.  By facing these issues and working through them, the dissipate and lead us into periods of calm, beauty, and love.

Life is full of fleeting moments. Change is ever-present.  Make the most of your life experiences.  Learn from your mistakes and cherish your successes. Believe in yourself, and never give up faith. Live like there is no tomorrow and remember the famous verse……All we are is dust in the wind.

Live your life with love and peace

Whatever is going on in your life, and whatever your life circumstance happens to be that is real. You can accept it as what is, or you can deny it.  This is how life works.  Everyone has issues and problems.  It is how we deal with them that allows us to live with love and peace.  When we accept what is it might mean we need to forgive ourselves or others for what is going on.

We all make mistakes, that is part of being human, but the mistakes we make do not define who we are. It is how we react, and learn from the mistakes we make that define who we really are. Remember the past is done there is no going back. The present is what is happening now, and the future has not yet arrived.   We can help create our future by taking action in the present.

This applies to relationships, emotions, career, health, fun, and how we deal with adversity.  Life need not be discouraging, in fact it can be exciting. It is all a matter of of we deal with things and the actions or reactions we have to situations that arise, goals we have made, our core values and beliefs.  Faith, belief, and self esteem help us work through issues and find love and peace.
